The Hakko A1386 is a cleaning sponge for Hakko 950 and C1313 models. Tip cleaning sponges are used to wipe the excess solder from the tip, exposing the tip point definition and offering the operator a well defined tip with which to solder. Wiping over a pre-moistened sponge also removes surface oxides from the tip, extending its useful life.
