This single workstation continuous monitor watches the path-to-ground integrity of one operator and one ESD worksurface. Wave Distortion Technology keeps that monitoring continuous rather than pulsed or intermittent, confirms the wrist strap’s 1 megohm safety resistor is present, and flags failures and intermittencies in under 50 milliseconds. Operator test voltage is 1.2 volts, which lowers the risk of electrical overstress on sensitive components. The Park Delay Timer and ParkSnap give you an 8 second window to disconnect and park a wrist cord without tripping a false alarm, and the mat monitor switch shuts off the worksurface circuit at benches that don’t have an ESD worksurface. Audible alarm volume adjusts from loud to louder. The single-wire impedance design meets ANSI/ESD S20.20 in accordance with ESD TR1.0-01-0, the unit connects to the 19332 Light Tower accessory, and you can verify its test limits with the Desco 98221 tester without pulling it off the bench. Each one ships NIST calibrated with a downloadable certificate and a 100-240VAC NRTL listed adapter, and it’s made and stocked in Chino, California.
DESCO Multi-Mount Continuous Monitor w/North American Plug Features
- Single Workstation Continuous Monitor. Continuously monitors the path-to-ground integrity of one operator and one ESD worksurface.
- Park Delay Timer and ParkSnap. Indicates the 8 second delay to disconnect and park the operator wrist cord without creating a false alarm.
- Light Tower Compatibility. Connects with the 19332 Light Tower accessory.
- Wave Distortion Technology. Provides stable continuous monitoring (versus pulsed or intermittent) of the wrist strap’s path-to-ground and the presence of its 1 megohm safety resistor.
- Mat Monitor Switch. Disables the worksurface monitor circuit when used in areas where there is no ESD worksurface.
- Audible Alarm Adjustment. Sets the audible alarm volume from loud to louder.
- Enclosure with Mounting Tabs. Installs in workbench and equipment environments.
- Single-Wire Impedance Design. Meets ANSI/ESD S20.20 in accordance with ESD TR1.0-01-0.
- 1.2 Volt Operator Test Voltage. Reduces the risk of electrical overstress (EOS) for the handling of sensitive components.
- Under 50 Millisecond Alarm Response Time. Identifies failures and intermittencies.
- Calibration Verification. Use the Desco 98221 Wave Distortion Monitor Verification Tester to check the test limits of Wave Distortion Monitors without removing them from their workstations.
- NIST Calibrated. Calibrated with accepted procedures and standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and the original calibration certificate is available for download.
- 100-240VAC NRTL Listed Power Adapter with North American Plug. Works with standard electrical systems in North America, Japan, and Asia.
