3M 5481 PTFE Skived Film Tape is an anti-stick, skived PTFE film backing with a silicone Adhesive that creates an extremely slick surface between moving surfaces; especially used to assist in the movement of web materials in many types of roll-wrap applications. The thicker film provides more durability and longer wear when subjected to abrasion, use for heavy duty roller wrapping applications. Handles temperatures up to 500°F, melted plastic won’t stick to PTFE film; use to wrap rubber laminating rollers on hot polyethylene extruders to create a release surface to help minimize clean-up. Anti-stick film with good conformability; use as roll-wrap for web processing belts and plates where sticky materials and inks may occur. Abrasion resistant film with extremely low friction, use for wrapping plastic extenders, guide rails, and angle bars in the graphic arts industry. Excellent release on packaging equipment and heat sealing machines to protect from plastic build-up.
